You had known of your Magic abilities since you were a child. You could make others feel your energy, feel their emotions, read others thoughts, heal & even manipulate the elements around you. After a incident in the first grade you hid them, people tend to be freaked out. By the time you were in the third grade your parents sold you not wanting to have a freak of a child. You had escaped when you were fifteen & were on your own for the next ten years, That is until the Avengers found you & brought you on the team. You found a home in a place you had least expected, the arms of a mischievous dark prince.
