Rose is a 17 year old senior girl with one goal: to find love. But as she tries to find herself among the shattered pieces of what she once was, she finds that love does not come easy. Confused, lonely, depressed and scared of dying alone and unloved, Rose will set out to defeat all odds and get the guy. But which guy is she meant to be with? What if she chooses the wrong one and ends up alone forever? "You have beautiful eyes Rose. I could get lost in those eyes." Danny breathed slowly, as he looked into my eyes. His hand slid up my neck, his finger tips gently pressing into the soft spot just below my ear. He leaned in slowly, his head tipping slightly to the left. My eyes fluttered and I let out a slight moan as he lightly grazed my jaw line with his lips. My eyes closed in anticipation of the kiss. Disappointment flowed through me as his hand left my neck, the sudden loss of warmth sending a shiver through my body. Sweet, slow notes started to float from the piano once again as Danny turned away from me. Our song. He was playing our song.

Meet Rose Williams, your average 14 year old girl. Fighting ghosts or capturing the Box Ghost into the Fenton Thermos was almost a daily schedule for her. Having a half ghost friend was everything but normal, and she admired that thought. She was never one to sit out on the sidelines, or blend in with the crowd. Almost everything about her was perfect, and probably easy to love. One flaw separated her from the rest. She never believed in love, or anything relating to that topic. What happens when Rose's life is suddenly dependent on the slow beep of a heart monitor? Will Rose make it? Or more importantly, will Danny be able to do anything before it's too late? What happens then, if Rose finds out that love was closer to her than she had thought?
