Displaced from their ancestral home in Falkreath, Mist and her kinsmen haunt the edges of civilisation as outlaws. Determined to reclaim their home, they bide their time in the mountains of the Rift. 

Hopes are dashed, however, when they are implicated in an Imperial ambush, leaving the Nords scattered.

Alone and friendless, fate casts Mist on a path that encounters Stormcloaks, mages and a conspiracy about dragons. She is forced to embrace the emerging magic that she has been stifling for years as she sets out to find her family and return home.
