He had spent centuries with only himself for company, he fed, tortured and killed that was his life and he liked it that way, until she came along and stirred something in him, something he couldn't and wouldn't accept.

“If I were you I’d keep that stake sharp. Don’t expect anymore visits like this, next time I come I expect you to use that thing,” he told her pointing to the stake on the bed, and then he was gone.

"Please, stop," I begged, my voice cracking. Tears streamed down my face, my eyes swollen and burning. "I can't handle this anymore. Just stay away from me." His words, "Little Angel, don't say that. I'm here to love you," were like a cruel joke. Love? The word tasted like ash in my mouth. His actions screamed something entirely different. "Your sweet words won't change anything. I need you to keep your distance," I responded firmly, putting all my energy into my voice. My breath hitched. One minute we were arguing, the next...fire. Agony seared my throat. He shoved me onto the bed, my head hitting the pillows hard. Stunned, I begged silently, God, please, save me from this monster. His hands were on my throat again, squeezing, stealing my air. Blurred vision, his eyes bloodshot, furious. "How dare you?" he growled. "Consequences, baby." ************************************ He, steeped in darkness, she, bathed in light. A collision was inevitable, a clash of opposing forces that threatened to shatter them both. Would he succumb to the light, or would he drag her down into his darkness? The stakes were higher than either of them could have imagined. This wasn't just love. It was a war for their souls. WARNING: EXCERPT ONLY! "And you smell delicious too." He whispered beside my ear. "Like honey and cinnamon were mixed to create a scent so irresistible. Do you know these two combined are great for the immune system?" He hummed against my neck, sending goosebumps all over my skin. "Fuck you." I managed to get out, glancing at him behind me. I felt his lips tilt up in a smile against my neck before he moved up to nibble at my earlobe. "That'll be nice." He chuckled in a deep sexy voice that rumbles from his chest to my body. "But some other time. Now..." His hot tongue comes out to lap at my neck in slow strokes. I bit down on my bottom lip to stop the moan that was about to break free. "I'm hungry." He darkly announced. Jocelyn, born from a witch family, had no powers making her an outcast among witches. She is determined to make it through life on her own, but then she runs into Sebastian, a vampire who develops a sudden interest in her and has a strange addiction to her blood. However, even though Jocelyn is not new to the supernatural world, it's not easy for her to accept she's supposed to spend eternity with a blood-sucking demon! What's more, humans are being murdered mysteriously, and Jocelyn starts to have visions of their deaths. Dive into a tale of mystery, romance, suspense, drama, and excitement. "Maybe that's why I was gifted with this power!" I screamed at her, but she laughed in return. "Oh, honey. Your powers aren't a gift. It's a curse."

"Teach you what?" William asked, already knowing the answer. "How to be yours," Victoria replied. In that instant, William had their position changed so that he was sitting on the bed, and Victoria was standing a few feet away from him. His gaze met hers, and it was a look that she had never seen on a man before pure dominance and not just of the situation or her. He had control of himself "Giving up control isn't something bad or something that makes you seem weak," he said. "It's about trust; it's about giving your mind, body, and soul to your dominant knowing-trusting that you are desired and owned by someone who will never harm you but only bring you pleasure," He added. Victoria's lips parted, his words staying in her head. It had existed her on a different level. She liked the feeling, how his eyes couldn't look away from her face or her body. She felt wanted, and damn, it was good to feel wanted by someone like him. Seeing her reaction to his words stirred something inside him, his mind turning to wicked things. She was his for the night, and he indented to enjoy her. "Is that something you want?" he asked her. Victoria wanted to free her mind. To give someone who wouldn't hurt her control. She trusted William, and tonight, she would trust him with her body. "Yes sir, it is," she replied, her body ablaze under his watchful eyes. A love that he never knew he needed. A love that he was going to protect from anyone that tried to harm her. She was his in this life and in the next. She was BOUND to him.
