Over a period of 13 years, he lured, killed, and dismembered 17 young men and boys, many of whom were of African American or Asian descent. Dahmer's crimes were characterized by their brutality, and he was eventually arrested in 1991 and sentenced to multiple life terms in prison. Despite numerous efforts to understand his motivations, the exact reasons behind Dahmer's crimes remain unclear. Nevertheless, his story continues to captivate and shock people to this day, serving as a reminder of the dark and disturbing aspects of human nature.
