Hello fellow KOTLC fans! This was an idea I had bouncing around in my mind before book nine had come out, of what Keefe had been doing after he ran away to the Forbidden Cities. Sorry if the story seems improbable in the series, I'm still trying to sync it up with the new info we got in book nine :)

The Neverseen has fallen. The Lost Cities are rejoicing, finally being able to taste freedom. Sophie Foster was at a loss. It was hard to remember that victory was on their side when she had to witness the damage the Neverseen has caused. She was in desperate need of finding out how to let go of who she was before, and start to be who she wants to be. Keefe Sencen was struggling. He wasn't sure of what to make of his thoughts, and was scared of their implications. He kept wishing for a way to turn back time; to see if he could've done things a different way. But sometimes, all he needs may be a solid reminder that he wouldn't be where he was if it wasn't for his decision at every crossroads. Keefe is in a coma and won't wake up. And if he does, will he still be Keefe? Mysterious clues start showing up, each one pointing to one thing. Keefe's legacy. Who can Sophie trust? And how far will she go to save Keefe from his legacy? This is a kotlc fanfiction. All the characters/places/things/world were created by Shannon Messenger. The story happens after the events of Legacy, although some of the events were changed. I found the cover art online. This will forever be unfinished cause unlocked came out and now I have AP tests to study for. Also, I'd rather not return to being my middle school self. I started writing this a few years back but never could figure out how to continue the plot. It is unfinished and due to leaving the community will probably never be finished.
