    Her brother went quiet, but she felt his shoulder shrug when he nodded. His hand squeezing hers comfortingly. They sat on the ground with a still silence between them. The only noise coming from the guard's occasional shifting and dull thudding from the ceiling. Load music rattled the walls as the footsteps danced around on the castle floor above them. Her gaze rested on the metal bracket around her ankle, the metal clasped so tight she couldn't slip a single finger between it and her skin. She drug the piece of metal across the worn out cement ground and clenched her hands into fists. The constant glowing red detail that lined the anklet glared back at her.
