Two summers have passed since Percy was introduced to the Camp and officially entered the Godly world. He's faced Minotaurs and Gods, Curses and Kyklopes, fought an invasion and retrieved artifacts of immense power. But now he must face a new threat: losing Annabeth.

Percy must navigate a normal school year with the future of the world up in the air, both sides scrambling to account for an unexpected player returning to the field. Things don't get any better when two new demigods enter the scene, with gold eyes that remind Percy very much of a figure from his dreams. And everything might go downhill when Artemis is captured and a quest is declared, a quest that will decide the Fate of the world one way or another.
