Diamond Perez was turning sixteen this Friday. Her best friends were dying to give her a surprise birthday party and she knew all about their plans. They didn't know that Diamond had a better plan of sneaking out of the messy room with sweaty people and finding peace in her favorite library with the new book she had her eyes fixed on.
She didn't know that a certain pink book was already waiting for her, in the library, to sweep her off her feet and change her life forever.

For the booksmart yet naïve 16-year-old Nicky, high school in her quaint little hometown island in the Philippines had always been predictable. Until that senior year. Nicky thought she got things all figured out. She'd be very good at school and be the valedictorian of the single-section class of 2010 of the highly looked-up science high school in their island. And then, she'd get a full scholarship to her dream university. All was fairly well except for a few things like grappling her feelings towards a long-time crush. Just when Nicky thought she could get through high school without too much boy-drama, a somewhat seemingly love life with a boy or two and suddenly, maybe even three was finally catching up with her during the last few months before high school graduation. She had never thought she could be wrong about a person. And that she could always be wrong about boys... ✨✨✨ Sidenote: I wrote this from November 2010 to April 2011, only a year ahead from the time set in the novel. This was fully uploaded on Wattpad in September 2013 for safekeeping. I hadn't gotten back to it in so many years nor find any means and time to promote it. This had long been completed but still needs edit. Enjoy reading! Cheers! P.S. This is not exactly a love story. And yet, it may read a lot like it.
