The Drafted Reality and Dreams by AnonymousWorker

It was a dark cold night-the night where the birds lay dead on the cold ground, listening in to the deceased whispers. This is the night where blood was once spilled. Jeremy hid behind a tree, holding on his thigh-his thigh was bleeding as he got stabbed. Jeremy looked at his wound, cursing under his breath. Jeremy looked around to see if anyone was nearby, there wasn't anyone nearby but he could hear the screaming of his pals. He could do nothing but to weep, he got out of his hiding spot and went deeper into the woods. He was wincing in pain as he dragged his injured leg. It was dark, too dark to the point even the moonlight couldn't provide light. Jeremy tripped over a tree root, he winced in pain, squeezing his injured thigh in pain. He soon heard a twig being snapped close to him. He pulled himself together, getting back on his feet. Dragging his leg once more. This time he raised the pace, panicking as he knew that he was being followed. He soon came across an abandoned truck that was in a small field. He smiled in relief, getting inside of the truck. He heard movement from his right, seeing a silhouette of a being that was coming closer to him. He panicked, climbing to the other seat to close the door. Once the door was closed, he locked the doors-backing away after. The door handle was being pulled aggressively but soon stopped. He took off his jacket and wrapped it around his thigh, he winced in pain as he made it tight. He looked around the truck, trying not to move too much. He eventually found a pen and a piece of paper. He started writing on it as a way to let anyone who came to the amusement park to leave immediately. first chapter of "The Drafted Reality and Dreams" has been rewritten! it's a bit shorter and has the same details just like the first chapter originally did. ⚠️ !This novel includes drugs, murder/murderers, cussing, suicide! ⚠️ [Draft] - No Proofreading or editing.
The Demon of Saint-Eli by riversmelodie
1 part Complete Mature
When a young devout woman seek out his help, the mysterious private investigator Simeon Engels knows that something peculiar is happening behind the masquerade of the town's most powerful man. But he will need to be careful... for justice can very easily be mistaken for bloodlust. The first ever short story of mine to earn a Mature filter (as it typically makes me uncomfortable to write dark and gritty stories), and, another first, one completely outside of the universes of my previous stories. It's completely standalone, with its own mythology and fantasy/realism rules, etc. Which made it even more so liberating, as I no longer needed to stick within an existing continuity in terms of what's possible and what's not. The Demon of Saint-Eli is the introduction (in an hopefully long collection of short stories) of an OC that I have come to love the concept for months: Simeon Engels, the mysterious private investigator that hides a greater secret than anyone could ever guess. At first wishing it to be a Victorian/film noir hybrid, I changed it instead to a steampunk setting, that allowed a greater range of what could be integrated in the story. Overall, I hope you enjoy this story. I hope to make it into a collection of stories revolving around the adventures and character development of Simeon Engels, and I hope that you will find him as interesting as I conceptualize him to be. 9th May 2021: this story is now part of a sale of art for charity. This will remain up for previewing the stories, but upon purchase, will be removed from Wattpad. "Hoshire",your mother whispered, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. "It means The Star's Blessing. Promise me you'll always look up when the world feels dark." You nodded-too young to understand that blessings can vanish as fast as light. Years later, city lights replace the stars. You're standing before a body, frozen mid-motion, displayed for the world to see. Wrong place, wrong time. A man's shadow reaches for you before the police flood the scene. He slips away; you don't. They take you in. And that's when you see him-L, the world's greatest detective. Your file is already open in his hands, pages marked and underlined like a riddle he intends to solve. His eyes move over you the way a mathematician studies an impossible equation. There's something about you. too quiet to name, too strange to ignore. and for the first time, even L finds himself curious about more than just the case. In a timeline where Light never won, a new kind of darkness rises. And in its glow, two minds collide-haunted, brilliant, and dangerously drawn to each other. But when the truth finally surfaces will it save them, or destroy everything they've begun to feel? Love Me Not [H.S]

104 parts Complete Mature

LOVE ME NOT 1 Something was off about this man. I couldn't put my finger on it, but his eyes-those cold, green eyes-said everything without him having to speak. His actions, his silence, the way he carried himself with an authority that shouldn't have been there, not for someone like him. It all felt... wrong. Why did he act like that? Why did he care at all? I watched him walk away, his black clothes blending with the shadows, his presence somehow both suffocating and distant. He had no right to be so cold, yet so... caring. And those eyes-those eyes that pierced through me like they were trying to figure me out. Like I was the puzzle he hadn't solved yet. Still. He's the one who ruin me. Completely.
