Spellbound

She's a monster.

She's always been one, according to her parents, to her uncles and aunts, to her cousins, to her grandparents. But there's one person who loathes her that was once a precious friend--her brother.

Maybe always isn't an accurate term. It was only after that incident--that terrifying night. She could remember every last detail: the screams, the fire, the pain. The pain. She could not sleep soundly for weeks afterwards because of it.

But it was after those several weeks where they appeared: the powers.

Since then, the matter's been kept a secret--no one else knows besides her family. However, recent events have made her "condition" public to the government.

It now wants to take her; it wants to have her powers and control them.

It wants to use her as a weapon.
