A new student enrols at Beauchamp grammar called Freddie Bulsara, who is nervous about being at a new school in a new country. on his birthday a boy called John Deacon talks to him and friends him. John is gay and falls in love with Freddie but being a homosexual is not socially accepted.

So John has to battle as he finds a way to figure out if Freddie is gay as well, as Freddie teaches John to live a little and be himself.
