Karimov Dance Project

The audience comes to see beautiful creatures with no face and history, doing things no human bodies were made to do, harmony of movement and music. To achieve that perfection, dancers broke their bodies time and time again, walking on blood, swallowing down tears. The world of dance is cruel and merciless, but the audience does not want to know that. So it is every dancer's job to put on a mask, hiding all the pain and fatigue deep inside, letting the curtains open to a godly world of bright backdrops, brighter smiles and the loud lull of music.
James Laurent's life has been quite special, mostly because of all the special people in it. Nearly all of his friends, not counting Maddy, were part of the famous Karimov Dance Project, including the famous Alexander Karrát, the Karimov's star student, who James has an unnecessary crush on. Though he had ties with all these people, James could not have even imagined that soon he himself will become a proud Karimov Project student, sharing stage and adventures with people he thought he will never quite reach.
Alex Karrát gave everything to dance. His body, mind and soul were all sacrificed in order to reach the desired heights. He achieved a lot, and is ready to achieve more. The next step in his plan is the legendary 'Danseurs Royaux' academy. People who managed to study there for at least a year and not go crazy from the pressure and the atmosphere, must have minds made of steel and perfect technique. If Alex manages to get in there, it will prove his superiority to all people who ever doubted him and his success. But in order to achieve this, he will have to sacrifice more than he ever had before. Twirling Terrace, his teacher, his best friend, his stepmother, his sister, and the boy with curly hair and olive skin, who loves to draw cats and whose smile drives Alex mad... If he sets foot on the academy's doorstep, there is no way he can see all these people for months.
