"Suddenly Puppy" is a romantic comedy that focuses on the main characters Quincy and Jesse. They both turn 18 on the same day which leads to them meeting in a pub and Quincy being quite drunk. Jesse quickly joins her. Because of that, they start philosophizing about their lives and how they are not satisfied with them. Loneliness is something they've both gotten accustomed to. Drunkenly they express how it'd be much nicer to live the life of a dog. All I'm going to say: Their wishes came true.

This story is intended to be funny and cute. There is very little drama involved and it's something you can read for comfort and to feel good. Quincy's and Jesse's relationship isn't going to be very complicated.

I'm not normally the huggy or cuddly type but I feel like she needs an embrace. So I put my hand around her and pull her towards me. She buries her face in my chest.

Ok, so that shirt is ruined.

She sniffles and suddenly looks up into my eyes, blinking away the remaining tears.

"Have you ever wondered what would happen if we were suddenly dogs?"

"Not really?"

"What if we were dogs? That would be so nice! We'd have an owner who'd sell their kidney to save us. And we'd be petted all day long."

"You're convincing me, Quincy."

I laugh.

"Also it'd be a great social experiment to see how long our "loved ones" would take to notice we're missing..."

"That would be interesting, indeed..."

"Also... We'd have cute ears, fluffy paws and bushy tails!"

"That is right!"

"Let's become dogs!"

"You are right, why aren't we dogs in the first place?"

"The government."

"Hahaha... That was a good one!"

We both laugh. We're drunk and stupid.
