All actions have consequences. Whether good or bad. Soon or later one will find out. Mathew did find that out. Though his actions piled up against him until it came crashing down. He thought of himself as unredeemable and he was. There was no coming back from his consequences no matter how much he bargained. No matter how much he begged. Perhaps death would grant him freedom.
This isn't love and it never was.
