In this AU, after Pibby has obtained the power of the darkness herself. Seeing that she is the only one not to be infected by the darkness completly and having full control over it as well, this power slowly starts to get to her head. So when the time came and they had their chance to get rid of the darkness forever, Pibby realized that would mean losing her power as well. So she doesn't go through with it. She believes there might be a way she can control the darkness completely. She could uncorrupt everyone and still keep the power. Because of this, everyone now views her as an enemy. Pibby now feeling betrayed, abandons them.
