A long time ago Grian was an admin of an amazing server, but he was kidnapped from it, never to see his friends again. Then, he escaped, but everyone was gone. Now he's found a new group to befriend, but they don't trust him. Has he truly escaped his past, or is it bound to catch up to him sometime? It's been years since the sorcerer Grian created his world, and he has finally returned from his travels. Since then more has changed than he could have ever predicted. His world has split into two factions, the Southlands and the Empire. His towers, once united, have separated. His formulated prosperity has crumbled. There are people now, new people, with their own complications, twisting and distorting his perfect little world. Grian decides to set things right. Forge new bonds, break old barriers. But they don't turn out right, do they? Suddenly someone is dying, and our flawed little sorcerer magics up a new set of lives for all of us at the cost of his own immortality. ____________ The story I will tell is not a joyful one. Nearly everyone will die. And it's my fault.

~ "Nobody has been a yellow life for 11 years, 4 months and 27 days" "Yes, but we've been close, Grian" ~ 11 years ago, the players banded together and agreed to refuse to delight the Watchers with a show. They decided on peace over fighting, and the Watchers weren't happy. They decided upon a new form of torture: attachment. Time still ticked down for them, so the Watchers thought it would be interesting to send them something they'd never watch grow up: a child. They loved their new children dearly, but knew they couldn't be there with them for most of their lives. Until Grian discovered that the children had infinite time, but only one life. He found a way to get his child to send him time so he could live longer. He shared this with the other players, and they've been almost immortal ever since. The only catch was they couldn't take too much time off of their children without them getting close to death. Grian became a Timekeeper, and all the other players began working to raise their kids and make a new civilisation, a new way of life. Luckily, the Watchers were still entertained. The rest of the players? They won't be entertained much longer.

No one questioned it when the bus drove off into the Pacific Northwest. No one thought to check if the GPS was working. Now, they're stranded in the wilderness, far from civilization, with no way out. OR Professor Mumbo Jumbo, Scar, Grian, Jimmy, Joel, Lizzie, and Gem to a competition in Seattle, ran by an organization called the "Watchers," which promised to pay the winners tuition in full. Things go slightly awry when Mumbo gets them all lost in the middle of the Pacific Northwest wilderness. Oopsie! (I'll make a better cover eventually, lol)

Even in a world where almost everyone is born with a whym, an otherworldly ability, there are still people who feel alienated in this strange, superhuman society. Grian is teenager born with strangely coloured wings. Most are a light brown, or white, or maybe blond, but his are bright purple. After being teased for it all his life, he's decided that people he meets in real life just suck.
