Being a Great-Granddaughter of Greek Gods doesn't make you special. In fact, there was maybe two people who thought about Grace Rose Sterling and special at the same time, and she didn't believe it was because they understood her.  Aglaea and Hephastus knew she had the family talent, but talent on loan from Gods isn't the same as being known.

Sharp but shy, Grace could hold her own if she was willing to be burdened by people who wanted favors, not friends, but she was very unwilling to play social games.  They even roped in her childhood crush as her personal temple guard, making her his obligation, not his choice.
