A starship captain searching for solitude and riches in the stars finds himself hopelessly lost. His journey home will force him to rely on an increasing number of colorful misfit crew who save his life as much as give it misery.
Stars Are Shortcake is a lighthearted and humorous serial sci-fi adventure. Initially intended as a four-panel comic, the author has repurposed it as a daily writing exercise because he doesn't have the time or money for artwork! Ha!

"I need something in my writing career that can be completed in an hour or less. This is because writing books takes such an immense amount of time, effort and willpower. So, the chapters in this story will be very short, perhaps even incomplete at times. But, I hope you'll enjoy the journey with me and the colorful characters.

They were wrong. The Xandisians evolved in ways humans never could have imagined, they are natural-born killers with phenomenal strength and agility. Their kind never went through the same devolution as humans, they never lost their natural instincts to hunt, kill, or breed. With their limitless potential and monstrous strength, they faced few threats and could survive almost any threat that befall their species, almost. After an incurable sickness washes over the planet of xanadis, the majority of the female, young and elderly, and vulnerable population is all but wiped out, leaving a small portion of the male population to face the threat of extinction.
