The Legacies

In the beginning, the Valtorin tribe's powerful sorcerers and sorceresses, led by Lyris, conquered Arcanthus, the world of beings possessing special abilities and unique powers. They aimed to end the peace that had been established and guarded by previous sorceresses and to seize the power and abilities of and other influential beings. They also intended to rule Arcanthus and kill the leading sorcerer, Haliro, making all sorcerers servants of darkness. A war erupted between the evil and good sorcerers and sorceresses. The three most powerful, Galatea, Nereida, and Adira, along with other capable beings, fought to defeat the evil of the Valtorins. Blood was shed throughout Arcanthus, many lost their lives, and many lost their powers. Galatea, Nereida, and Adira sacrificed their lives to conquer the evil and restore peace. They saved Arcanthus, but their lives were the price. However, with the death of the greatest sorceresses known to man, their legacies were born, leading and safeguarding in the event of a future invasion by the strengthening Valtorins. Galatea, Nereida, and Adira ensured that, even in death, there would still be hope for the future: Aeris, who would possess the power of air, Sylphira, who would possess fire's destructive power, and Khaliah, who would possess the remarkable power and abilities of water. Over time, Head Sorcerer Haliro established a school, The Arcanthus Academy for sorcerers and sorceresses who sought to be proficient in using magic and for the future, in the event that war breaks out and the Valtorins attempt to conquer Arcanthus again, the sorcerers and sorceresses would be ready and capable of defending and fighting for peace. But they were not prepared for the Valtorins' return.
