Eleanor Grace Rogers is the younger sister of Steve Rogers. She grew up in the company of her brother and Steve's best friend, James Buchanan Barnes. When World War II strikes, Eleanor leaves her job as a seamstress and decides to ship out to France as an Army Nurse. When her transport to Italy get's hijacked, Eleanor is taken captive by HYDRA and is made into the Midnight Soldier. The Night Soldier earns a ruthless reputation, but disappears off the map after a failed assassination attempt. Years later, Eleanor is found in a cyro-freezing chamber in an abandon HYDRA facility in Germany by her brother and assisting Avengers. It is now up to Steve, her secret love, and the Avengers to help Eleanor transform from what HYDRA made her and back into the person she was before.
