Jules' grandfather is one of the most powerful people in Emaru. Blessed as a dual wielder of glass and stone while most can only control one, he needs to transfer this power to a worthy heir and send them off to kill Kurayami, an out-of-control dual wielder, before he dies. Logically, Jules knows it should be her. They are kin, and family is everything on Emaru. But every day Jules wraps her chest in bandages and "powerful mages don't play dress up".
When her grandfather blesses an arrogant boy with his magic, Jules sets off on her own to prove that he made a mistake. After all, she's just as capable of killing Kurayami as anyone. But when she's face-to-face with Kurayami, everything her grandfather taught her about the gods is thrown into question; and maybe those she once called family are no longer deserving of the title.

Its all the things I can't currently put in Demon Stories, my thoughts about it, mad ravings, nonsensical babbles, everything Demon Stories that goes through my head on a daily basis. If you are a fan of Demon Stories, read it and enjoy it but be warned there's MAJOR SPOILERS WITHIN if you haven't read too far (starting on Rant #2). However, I shall never give away the end. Note: there are Mini Demon Stories in here that didn't make it into the book, or could be in the book in the future. There are also future demon story summaries. Btw, the pictures on the cover are of the demons, but some are not shaded in. The full color one on the bottom is Victor (looks like orange hair but it is blood red, I assure you, the colors got washed out with my camera). Demonic
Before you read the description of my book, I want to give a few quick disclaimers. The first one is that most of the chapters aren't very long, so the 60 chapters isn't as intimidating to read as it may seem. Second, my story does include the following things that some people may be uncomfortable reading. Cursing/Swearing. Violence, Sex Jokes, Homophobia, And child abuse. Specifically, Name calling, a few things thrown at the child, and scenes with violance against teens)I would give examples directly from the book that would make more sense, but I don't want to give any spoilers for future. I also wanted to say that there isn't anything like sex scenes or suicide, but this isn't for kids either. I won't be using the mature rating because it is not directly made for adults, or young kids. Again, it all depends on what you are aloud to read, or what you are comfortable with reading. Now with that out of the way, lets get to the description for the story itself. She never cared. That's what Hayden Hawksley thinks about his mother, and he wasn't wrong. After all of the years he was abandoned for Catherine's hook ups with men and bars he came to the realization that it wasn't to get money for the two of them, or to save up for something. Finally one day his mother gets tired of him being home due to his lack of friends and bullies and sends him to a Boarding school for kids in High School named: 'Emerald Boarding High'. But things go wrong when he realizes who his dorm mate his. The person he would have to spend his time with for all of High School. Jaxx Morningstar. The son of King Lucifer. Olive Branch
"This is an Angel girl named Maisie Lark. She hasn't ever stepped foot into the 'real world'. Attempting to break the lock is useless and I have the key. I've extended the olive branch. Maisie's your motive. Come find me when you're ready." Cecilia Star has been alive long enough to know what it's like to be a demon in the human realm, but she's also been alive long enough to cope with her everyday life. But when she wakes up handcuffed to a strange Angel she's never met before, she's thrown for a loop. Cecilia assumes it's all just one big, extremely cruel prank by the twins in order to rile her up and test her limits. After all, Maisie is everything that Cecilia would rather leave behind her, determined, opinionated, and so very clearly wrong. But it doesn't take Cecilia and Maisie long to realize that the handcuff prank is a little more than just a lighthearted joke. The thing about Demon metal is that it is a fickle thing. It can only be unlocked by the person who has the key and no matter what method is used, it cannot be broken. Cecilia would rather just forget the whole thing, refuse to give Ezekiel the satisfaction he so wants, and remain handcuffed to Maisie for the rest of her life. It doesn't take long to realize that it's just not possible. Maisie is everything that she shouldn't be in the human realm. Bigoted, rude, and annoyingly difficult. She can't even get close to Cecilia without making some sort of remark on how she can't stand Demons. As the time ticks down and options become less and less, maybe being handcuffed to each other will teach Cecilia and Maisie a thing or two about themselves. Maybe running from the past isn't the right choice and perhaps, maybe even a Demon and Angel could fall in love too. (Entered in the Open Novella Contest 2022 under prompt 79. Disclaimer: I wrote this novel before the movie Lucy came out it is in no way related but the premise of the brain and the powers eerily similar It is the year 2173. Human beings have evolved to use more than 10% of their brain, and as an effect, possess supernatural powers. Luna and Lara Valkyrie grew up in a foster home in the town of Westhaven, California. Both 18 and having been born on the same day, they were raised as twins, Luna adopting Lara's surname because of her own being unknown. Westhaven is a lovely town, the perfect place to live the american dream in. There is only one problem. Not only there, but in almost every place in the world, human beings are branded with a number, that being the amount of supernatural abilities they possess. By the time each child reaches the age of 18, that number becomes permanent, and everyone with a ranking above 5 is taken away. From that moment on, they belong to the government, and must train in government facilities that are a lot like prisons or army bases. Their eyes are changed by machines, and they are identified for the bright aura-like color that surrounds their pupils and contrasts against their natural eye color, "the sunflower effect". The day of the chosen has come, and Luna Valkyrie is a seven. When she is taken by government guards, she believes her life is over.
