Tess never asked Joel to feel what she felt. Joel would never open himself up to heartbreak again. Despite this, they found comfort in each other & became like family. They had their smuggling, rare visits to Frank & Bill's town, and they had each other. But adding a child to the mix is definitely not ideal. Both know the loss of a child and both never want to experience that again...but maybe after being lost in the darkness for so long it's time to look for the light.

OR......What if Ellie was Joel and Tess' kid?

Where the Wildflowers Rot-TLOU

35 partes Continúa

In the crumbling world that came after the outbreak, survival was a currency Joel and Tess had long since learned to trade in. They had no room left for softness-no room for attachments. So when FEDRA handed them a ten-year-old orphan named Delilah in 2027, it felt more like a punishment than a responsibility. She wasn't wanted. Not at first. But the world has a way of forging bonds in blood, grit, and silence. Years later, Delilah is older, sharper, and more damaged than a girl her age should ever have to be. She's learned to keep her guard up. She's learned how to fight. And when Joel and Tess take on the job of escorting a strange, immune girl named Ellie across the country, Delilah finds herself dragged into a journey she never asked for-one that will unravel everything she thought she understood about family, loyalty, and what it means to survive. Set in the years before and during the events of The Last of Us, Where the Wildflowers Rot explores a broken world through the eyes of a forgotten girl growing up among ghosts, smuggling rings, and the quiet, aching love of two people who never planned to care. Because even in a world overrun by rot, sometimes things still try to grow
