Noah, an overweight 20-year-old engineering student from New York, wakes up one day on Prixa, a world with agile feline warriors called the Feka battling the evil Shadowalkers, a werewolf colony bent on eliminating the Feka to strengthen themselves. Noah is granted a 'Blacksmith Apprentice' class and can 'Create' with items gained from killing creatures in battle. When he stumbles upon the Fekan settlement, he learns that humans in this world are actually non-magic users and slaves to the Feka masters.

He gets out of breath just walking up the stairs, and he's never battled anything in his life. The only experience he has with weapons is an old slingshot, shooting pigeons outside his apartment window in Brooklyn. Can he survive in this hostile world with only his crafting powers and slingshot?

Can Noah learn to create items to help the Feka? Does he want to free the human slaves from the cat overlords? Or does he want to rise in power and join the evil canine warlords?

Elemental Rush by elanajohnson
14 parts Complete
Eighteen-year-old Adam Gillman has trained for twelve years to earn a coveted spot on the Supreme Elemental's elite sentry squad. His brother, Felix, is the commander, but Adam is still thrilled when his official assignment to serve Alexander Pederson comes. He moves into nicer quarters and can stop getting up at four a.m. to complete his mandated work out time. He still rises early though, because he needs the solitude of early morning to practice his airmaking Element-something that Adam has kept secret from everyone, even Felix, because he can't be both an Airmaker and a sentry. When Alex assigns him to kill a group of rogue Elementals, he balks at completing his mission for the first time. See, his only friend is Isaiah Hawking, and he's the Earthmover on the accused Council. When faced with the prospect of killing him, Adam finds he can't do it. He's well trained in assassination, but he thought he'd be murdering bad guys-not innocents. When Alex buries the Elemental Academy-and kills over one thousand Elementals-in a fit of rage, Adam's loyalty cracks. When he discovers that Alex is really a woman, and his brother's lover, he defects. He hops from city to city, from Elemental school to Elemental school, always escaping only minutes before Felix can embed a knife in his heart or a tsunami can make a classroom his watery grave. He tries to fight back, but he's just one Airmaster with exceptional tracking skills. He does his best to warn those in danger, but as the last Elemental school goes up in flames, he knows he needs to get some real firepower on his side. New school. New home. New Life. New bullies. Daniel didn't ask for any of it. Yet here he is. Life still sucks. And he's had just about enough of it. However, the biggest challenge is yet to come. Afterall, has his shadow been moving on its own? Or is it just his imagination. Follow the story of 14-year-old Daniel as he learns how to get through life. How to grow up. And how to love in multiple ways. Opening his heart and mind to the world and people around him. Rated mature for: Swearing Mature concepts Violence This book is dedicated to everyone who inspired me, encouraged me and stuck by me while I debated giving up on the concept for this book altogether. You all know who you are... I wanted to tell a story that breaks the norm to some aspect. Where the main character is a boy, not a girl. Where he is not perfect. And where he is even a - not bad - but does bad things sometimes. It's a story of coming into yourself and forging your own path. Despite how hard that path can be to walk. Choices you face, how you'll react to them. What to do when you've done something bad and how you can fix it. If you should fix it. Each choice you make - weather you realize it or not - forges the person you are. For every door you close another one is waiting to be opened. This is not a perfect story, but it's one I want to tell. One that comes from a personal place in my heart and one that is born in reality and bathed in fantasy. This story will deal with aspects of both worlds. And sometimes touch on heavier topics. Be prepared, to read about a character who is the farthest thing from perfect. But he doesn't need to be. He just needs to be himself. Oh, how hard that truly is.
