Asiza is a young Ilok- a species of empathic shapeshifters with immense power- who escaped from years of brutal abuse and deception, only to be thrown into a web of convoluted envents and the weight of an entire world on their shoulders.
Riven is a confused, half-human teenager who was uprooted from his life when Asiza landed in it, with no knowledge of what is going on or why he's part of it.
In Asiza's eyes, their mission is to save the Song of the Forest by reaching the Thicket Sanctum with a crystal before Shifteve. But as Riven and Asiza are thrown on side quests and detours, and as more and more shattered remnants of their pasts are brought to life, layers of conspiracies and lies are unfolded. How much of the original mission is on the right path?

I love the world and I built and the characters with all my heart but the writing is incredibly outdated and the plot progression is all over the place. I may reuse these characters in the future, but this series has come to an end.
