Going back to the epilogue of the 1st book after Carina accepts Remington's proposal, the couple are met with love and support for their exciting engagement by everyone they know and all their fans. Carina couldn't have asked for anything better to happen in her life. But with love comes challenges that the couple must overcome if they wish to be together forever.

As Carina prepares for the next part of her life with Remington, problems arise when he's asked to perform a duet with a famous female singer who happened to be someone he used to have feelings for back in high school before she declared her hatred for him. When they managed to get over their differences, feelings begin to spark and it leaves Carina wondering if some first loves cannot be forgotten so easily.
