One day everything was fine. The next? People rising from the dead, eating people. People losing their humanity. Follow 22 year old Alexandra Grimes as she adapts to this new hellscape.
Note: this story includes characters that are not my own. All credit for them goes to the creators of The Walking Dead. Original Characters are mine. I'm not super great at writing, so bear with me, I also can't promise any consistent updates. This story may also deviate slightly from the canon of the show.

The Prodigy
Daryl Dixon, red neck trash who follows his older brother, Merle, everywhere he goes. Well, Daryl also has a kid. A little girl named Kathryn Ann Dixon. She goes by the nickname, Kata, a name her mother gave her. When she was two, her mother disappeared. Merle was in jail for two years and by the time Merle got out, Kata was four and they left their grandfather's place after Daryl learned the dark secret that hurt his daughter. When Kata's grandfather died, her family got the trailer and even though it was hard for her family, they made it work. Kata was taught how to hunt, shoot a gun, and grossly, how to gut certain animals. One night, the world died. Everything. The dead started coming back to life, killing the living. Her family ran into a man and woman on the highway, combing with other people, making a larger group. Everything started really change when a man named Rick Grimes came to the group.

One of the survivors begins to try to chip away the ice around her heart. But will he be able to penetrate the darkness of her past? Rachel Ebony, a girl who is stuck in the world of the undead. She was alone at the start, but of course, that didn't phase her any. She didn't want to worry about anyone else, especially since she barely knew how to care for herself. She had just had her twenty first birthday when the end of the world happened. She knew how to shoot and how to fight, she learned Brazilian Jujitsu when she was little, and has been training up until the end of the world. All the fighting skills in the world couldn't save her from uncertain death, if she happened to fall asleep in the wrong place at the wrong time. She's scared, but she's never been one to show fear. She finds a woman and small child, but the woman was bit, and so she sent her child with Rachel. How will Rachel cope with having a small child to look after?
