After many years of warfare between Russian warlords, one emerged victorious. It was the Novosibirsk and Altai Federation led by Alexander Pokryshkin. Once these countries were free of their oppressors, the Federation could set itself a final goal. Send its citizen into space. It happened in 1982 when Gherman Titov in the Soyuz 1 rocket flew into Earth orbit and returned safely to land.
