Graphics cards have got bigger, heavier, and more expensive over the years, with some of the best cards on the market running for $1,499 or more. Being able to play games at the highest resolution and frame rate is huge, and for many, it's a dealbreaker. It is true that there are many games that do not necessarily require a graphics card to play. Granted, those graphics powers aren't quite as far off as Cry 6 or Resident Evil, but they're still a lot of fun, and being able to game on minimal hardware without a dedicated GPU is icing on the cake.
