Riley is a eighteen year-old girl who lives with her Dad. Her and her Dad just moved across the state, from California to Maryland, because her Dad's life caught up with him. Both of them have "drug problems,". Riley's Dad allows her to smoke, drink, etc. He never shows that he cares for her and they constantly fight. He never physically hit her. Riley moved to Maryland in the summer and the first day of senior year is coming up faster than she wants. Carter, her dad, doesn't work and the only thing keeping them up is the government unfortunately. Their small house that has only three bedrooms with one bathroom along with a small kitchen, is slowly falling apart, literally. Her life is horrible but she copes with drugs and drinking like she has learned from her father. One her first day of school, she meets a boy named Aiden. He's the only one who stands up for her. There is obvious feelings but they both don't want to confront it. Will they date? Or leave things as forever friends?
