2073. It's been 2 years since the invasion. The tragedies have become statistics. Destruction has amassed amidst the once great nation and hope lies in the youth as problems intensify. Humans are no longer the only threat to themselves.
Maria's life depicts her as one of the unluckiest human beings still living. In that way she is also one of the luckiest people alive. Her personality is a slippery slope that allows her to escape the clutches of reality countless times with a touch manic behavior traits. Bombs and bullets fly over her head as often as whatever her instructor said three minutes before. In a time of extirpation, will the incubation of one idea have the possibility to repair rampant destruction?
William Vega, is point-blank, a stick in the mud. At least in Maria's eyes. 'Domineering fuddy-duddy' is also an accurate description of him. He refuses to recognize her a fit for the service, degrades her values, and refers to her as a lunatic. He's not the first though, as much as Maria attracts people she also repels them with her louder than life unconventional personality. After a series of misfired guns and deadly yoga sessions, the two soon find themselves on an high-chase eerie adventure to ruins of the earth where the truest gems of society can be recovered.

Actually not literally, you know, because otherwise that would be really gross. Who is V.K. McAllister? We're a husband/wife duo (Andrew and Sasha McAllister) with a unique approach to writing. We work simultaneously and in secret before combining what we come up with, resulting in dramatic and unexpected twists that surprise even us! Crazy? Yes, yes it is, but it's surprisingly fun and effective. :) We pretty much live for the Inevitable Ascension series and did just about everything ourselves-the writing, the editing, the publishing, the art (well, Andrew did the art, but Sasha provided invaluable consulting when it came to eyebrows), the audio book, the trailer-everything. We're basically a one-man band, except with two people... and no music... so perhaps not the best metaphor, but we're confident you get what we mean. "Strip. Now!" I aimed my weapon at him with a glare. Upon a passing light, I was granted a clearer view. Intense green eyes were on me, clenched jaw on a keen guard, and a visible scar at the curve of his left cheek. The idle look aired fearless against my warning, forcing my wary to hyperdrive. The sound of rustling ceased my staring. I watched him moving in largo. "Hurry up!" With a lopsided smirk, he started unbuttoning his coat, eyes boring holes on me. "What are you? An android rapist?" He let out with indifferent. "Shut it!" I yelled, trailing my eyes lower. "The pants too." *** Eve had volunteered for an assignment to meet the future. She was put into cryogenic sleep, expected to witness a greener and wiser world. But when she wake, she found herself at a dump, naked and cold. The air was thick with pollution, and malice at sight. After escaping from danger, she held the next person she met at gunpoint; a mysterious, handsome hybrid. Unbeknownst to Eve, Earth was no longer what she once knew. She soon learnt the truth behind the assignment. Left with no other option, she put her trust on Kael to fulfil her mission.
