The internet. A very frightful place. For instance, post out where you are at the moment. All it takes is one creeper to look where you are and track you down. But, Sara Jane didn't give it a thought. Sara Jane is a 13 year old girl. Very shy. She often went on the computer to escape the real world. She was surfing YouTube for some videos when a sign appeared saying: ''UNABLE TO ACCESS THE INTERNET'' She didn't really think anything of it because the internet started working again right after she finished reading the sign. She gets a notification saying: ''YOU HAVE MAIL'' She checked her email. ''Bob Benly? Who could that possibly be?'' She thought. Curious, she opened it. It read: ''Watching you is amazing, you're perfect, I just want to touch you. I love your YouTube videos.'' Feeling disgusted and filled with horror knowing that he was 35, she shut off her computer, threw it into a river. She was safe from the internet. though innocence was then stolen from her.

But after a month rolls around, Alison still thinks the whole situation was a bit odd; Gabe could and would never do that to himself. She would know, considering their friendship since fourth grade. Sometimes I find it hard to believe that I've been an internet user for twenty years now. That's older than some of my co-workers. It's over half my life. And still the internet feels like "the new thing." I used to take it for granted, like we all do. But at least I remember what it was like when it wasn't there. When you had to leaf through an encyclopedia set to find an answer. When you could only find Gillian Anderson's picture in magazines. Or later, when songs took 30 minutes to download and full-length movies were almost impossible to find, because no-one's hard drive could hold them.
