But something strange happened the day of her execution. As soon as her decapitated head hit the ground the sky turned blood red and it began to rain fire. No one survived that day. But for some reason time went back, and Laraine was back to being a child, but with no memory of her future. There were select few in her life, however, that remembered her tragedy and now perhaps will take action to prevent it. NOTE: I'M AWARE THERE ARE A LOT OF INCONSISTENCIES. First off, this story was not written by me. I am posting it for a friend of mine, with permission of course. This took place in a Dungeons & Dragons game over 30 years ago. It is a about how one of the player characters got his start; Crentar Bronn. He is a human ranger of 1st level in this story. This is important to note, because it'll bring more perspective as you read the story. I was the DM (Dungeon Master) for this game. At the time, we were still in high school, which of course, gives away our age. lol I decided to have each character do it solo before they actually met up with each other. A teaser so-to-speak. Eventually, there was five player characters in the game. My friend who ran Crentar Bronn remembers this whole solo adventure to this very day in great detail. A few years after the game is when he wrote this story. We were recently reminiscing about 'old times' and he told me that he actually wrote it out as a story. He was then able to find it on an old hard drive & then sent it to me. I was very surprised at how good this is & how great his memory was from that adventure. I'm flattered that he was so inspired by it, that he turned it into a story! I hope you enjoy this early adventure of Crentar Bronn as much as we did.
