The Marauders would prank Maya Hatt, but when she returned from Narnia she returned changed and that changed a lot of her relationships. She definitely was better than before; among other things she realised why the Sorting Hat chose to put her in Gryffindor and when you realise what are your good traits, you see good traits in others. Sometimes in people you just did not expect.
