Being the only alpha female to ever be she works twice as hard and is twice as vicious. Her past is unclear and shady and is something she does not talk about.
The humans quest for the moon stone is still on endangering the lives of every wolf . it is the duty of the alphas of each pack to protect their people and the moon stone.
Along the line she meets her mate who is also the alpha of the strongest pack, the blood pack. She cannot and will not submit to him she is the alpha of the second strongest pack and refuses to leave her people.
She begins to learn things about her past and the origin of wolves , still ignoring the pull towards her mate. Despite his efforts she doesn't budge "I guess the moon goddess made a mistake" she tells him
She was already involved with her beta who practically grew up with her before claiming their positions and restoring honor to the crescent pack after 17 years.
The power within her begins to sip out little by little one that she knew nothing of. The humans once again find their way into her pack house the same way they did 19 years ago this time they don massacre the wolves they take only the great female alpha
