After their decisive victory over Orinovo, Lys-Akkaria's army crosses the border to take back territory that used to be theirs. With the combined forces of a lightweaver and shadowforger, Orinovo doesn't stand a chance.

In spite of their newfound advantage, Ainreth finds himself doubting the war effort, though his concerns go unvoiced as freeing Lys-Akkarian minorities of Orinovan oppression takes precedence. Things, however, get much more complicated when they discover an ongoing conspiracy among the Orinovan monarchy. With a threat like this looming over them, the Lys-Akkarian leaders call for a siege to end the war before the problem becomes much worse.

Ainreth's doubts of the warfare only continue to fester still, even despite the clear neccessity of the drastic measures being taken, resulting in high tensions. He and Fennrin argue more and more with each passing day, and things only escalate from bad to worse when Daryan Varilik gets involved with his own hidden agenda.

❖ Interstellar pilot and ex-adventurer Alex Gallegos must keep their team safe on an icy moon as sentient storms threaten to repeat the tragedy that ended their last career. ❖ Everyone in the United Inhabited Solar Systems (for some reason, UIS for short) knows to stay away from Mahaha. The icy moon is notorious for failed probe landings and research missions that end in tragedy: the only people to ever venture to its surface needed rescuing after just two weeks. When a prestigious research group decides they want a turn, they ask Alex Gallegos to lead the team. Perfectly qualified and haunted by their past, Alex accepts, hoping to make up for old mistakes and get just a little further from the earth they've left behind. Two months into the seven-month mission, the team is struggling with discontent, damaged equipment, and blizzards acting less and less like normal weather. As Mahaha moves out of range of help and the storms take on a more malicious character, Alex must face the one foe they could never have prepared for. Mahaha may or may not be alive. ❖❖❖ Complete. (FREE on Amazon) "The darkest shadows hide beneath the brightest lights." Estra would never forget the night she lay in smoldering ash and watched while everything she loved was consumed by fire. Once a pious young woman living a peaceful life in service to the enlightened, everything changed when her convent was burned down by followers of the profane sorceress Helena the Defiler. Scarred by the events of the horrifying massacre, Estra joined the church as a warrior of the faith where she was tasked with using her newfound abilities to strike down the heretics that plague the world of Eldrin. That once broken woman has grown into a powerful figure of justice, and through her duty, she's found a sense of fulfillment in protecting the innocent. As a holy warrior, Estra is supposed to be seen as a symbol of virtue in the eyes of others, but buried deep within her soul is a forever growing thirst for vengeance against the demons of her past. When she's finally given the assignment of purging those responsible for her suffering, Estra embarks on a journey which reveals that the world isn't as black and white as she'd been led to believe. *** Don't forget to vote, comment, & follow! *** (Please leave a review on the books Amazon and/or Goodreads page) (Exclusive content available at nygeloglesby.wordpress.com)
