Aru was casually, the biggest thief in town, along with her sister, Kara. They had a disguise, a life, and two wonderful parents. They were stealing for good, for equality of man. 

Until they were separated.

Aiden was having the finest life a prince could have while his parents bickered and fought amongst the castle. Other than that, he was having quite a thrill trying to catch The Otherworld's biggest thieves. Lightning and Solaris.

Until he's forced to do something he objected to many times.

Did Aru want to go to the new years party? No. Would she rather be on her couch in her pajamas watching Lord of the Rings while eating way too much Swedish Fish? Who wouldn't? Her father. Her father wouldn't. He wanted her to go there and "socialize" which was code for "you need to find someone to marry because your life's really sad". It was some party for his law firm he started with one of his friends too, not even like a rager which would've been mildly fun. Aiden's father was a crappy one at best. So when Aiden's dad made him the photographer at some stupid new years party that he was throwing for his law firm, of course he protested. But he couldn't look at his mom so happy about it and still tell her that he didn't wanna do it. So he was still the photographer. Shit. When they both meet, (it's up to you to guess what happens, pretty easy) Okay so this is my first fanfic so please don't make fun of it if it's like REALLY bad but there's an unfortunate lack of aru shah aus that I HAVEN'T read and I'm like obsessed with aruden it's starting to become an issue hahah i'll TRY to update, and if I have writers block or smth i'll give yall a heads up and write something in place of it:) and yes this is very much based off of new years day by taylor swift

When it came to her sister's crush, Aru Shah couldn't care less than she already did. She didn't even know the guy, and it didn't help that he was the hot topic in all of Kara's and Aru's conversations. She knew she had to meet the dude someday, because of their mutual friend group, but she didn't expect to meet him to help him and Kara for their project. It helped her too, so what was the point in denying? Aiden knew people only liked him, and talked to him because of his looks. He knew love was a waste of time, because the guy Aiden actually was was someone who nobody cared about. But when one of his friends came up to him and told him that she had found a model for their end-of-year project, he readily accepted, not knowing that this one person would make him change his perspective. In the end, he realised, there were albums of snapshots, all overflowing with pictures of memories he never knew he wanted.

(Aru x Aiden forever :D) (Also, this takes place right after Aru Shah and The City Of Gold.) The first time that the pandavas met Kamadeva, it went well.
