Adrien's never felt a sense of belonging. He can't explain why the strange stuff happens around him. Why things seem to quite literally fall apart.

It all changes the day he meets Sophie Foster, a strange girl with an even stranger ability: she appears to be able to read other people's minds. She soon admits that another world does in fact exist: Aelesia, a hidden realm that he somehow is a part of, having been born there but went missing four years later.

Taking the opportunity, Adrien crosses into a world he never thought would be real. It's all a dream come true.

Until the dream dies. Because rebels are crossing through the country, determined to take the power of ancient spirits. He has to enlist the help of two nobles, including Sophie, and a local fugitive to protect this world he's just returned to from its destruction.
