When NASA scientists make a shocking discovery that the core of the Earth will explode in less than a week, bringing upon an explosion that will destroy the planet, four diverse teens that go to the same high school decide they have only three days to do everything that they were waiting to finally do when they became adults -- before they lose their chance. Gwen needs to reunite with her estranged father, Ethan just wants to be with the boy he loves, Willow wants to come out of her shell and explore the world, and Charlie... well, he doesn't know what he wants.

These young people travel around New York City, trying to accomplish their goals before August 29 EST, before everything burns down in flames. But after chasing after taxis in the rain and dancing on top of tables to save a wedding (and many more odd scenarios) makes the quad realize there's more to life, and they must face their darkest truths as their secrets collide and the world is pulled apart.
