This is a rewrite of my previous fan fiction "Tales of Hades and Persephone" as well as some inspiration from the original myth (and perhaps other retellings I enjoy).
Hades has been alone for far too long. One day he pays a visit to Zeus and requests to marry Persephone. The King of the Gods agrees and even recommends Hades kidnap Persephone, since it's unlikely Demeter will agree to the marriage.
Persephone is a young Goddess of Earth curious about the world of the mortals. She's always helping her mother Demeter, but one day while watching the mortals she wanders off only to fun into a handsome stranger. After a brief conversation, Persephone finds herself swept away to the Underworld. Will Hades manage to get Persephone to fall in love with him? What will Demeter do when she discovers her daughter is missing and it's all Zeus' fault? Will the mortals be able to survive the wrath of the Gods?

The Death God and the Flower Maiden
A retelling of the famous story of Hades and Persephone. Hades, the God of the Dead, Lord of the Underworld has everything he could ever want except for one thing. Love. Persephone, the daughter of Demeter, a controlling parent hell bent on keeping her daughter "safe" for all eternity, is constantly under the supervision and iron grip of her mother, and over time, it has created a spark of rebellion that yearns for freedom. Through a series of mistakes, clever planning and permission from Zeus, Hades and Persephone fall in love down in the Underworld. But this doesn't sit well with Demeter who is completely unwilling to except that her adult daughter isn't a baby anymore. And so as Zeus tries to reason with the love struck Hades and the psychotic and increasingly violent Demeter, things get more and more complicated as no one is seemingly ever satisfied with anything.Complete
DIVINE - A Persephone And Hades Retelling
"I've told you, Hades, I can not become your mistress." she sadly told him. She had always lived in her mother's shadow, and if she followed Hades, she would once again be living in another's shadow. Even though she loved him, she did not think she could stomach it. "I do not want you to be my mistress, Persephone, I want you to be my queen," he confessed to her. She snapped her head up to meet his eyes, searching for any sign he wanted to take his words back, but there was no remorse. And just like that, she fell ever so slightly more in love with him. "Your queen?" she asked, she had to be sure. Strangely the word had slid off her tongue gracefully as if it had belonged there. "Yes, become my queen," he told her once again, taking back the step she had taken. "Rule besides me as the goddess of spring and the Underworld." Death is what comes to people like a thief in the night, snatching them with no intentions of bringing them back. Death is a nagging parent that you try to outsmart time and time again but no matter how many times you may think you have outsmarted them, in the end they will have the last word. Death is the old friend that nobody likes and yet you cannot live without. Death is many things but I never thought it would be my lover. Kore lives alone with her controlling mother, Demi. She hasn't seen any other person besides her homeschool teacher since she was a little girl after a mysterious incident happened at school one day that her mother refuses to talk to her about. She keeps her locked away on a farm and only lets her go out occasionally. It isn't until her cat dies and after picking him up, becomes alive again when she realizes why her mother has locked her away for all these years. She discovers she has the gift of healing. When she confronts her mother about it, her mother reveals to her that they are not human but in fact, Goddesses trapped inside human vessels to protect Kore from the Gods who want to marry her. But things only get worse when one day, as Kore is picking flowers in the meadow, there is an earthquake and she is taken up by this earthquake and falls into the arms of none other than Hades. Persephone, goddess of spring, so bright and energetic Hades, god of the underworld, lacking exactly that... What happens when circumstances make them meet? What happens when they find their lives bound together suddenly? ∆∆ Okay okay I know the original myth is kinda problematic but I changed it up a little. No real kidnapping, no forced relationship and so forth Hades is just a nice guy with maybe some difficult friends and Persephone is anything but a damsel in distress. Really, it wasn't planned that way but its become a soft, delicate love story And I made it gay of course, everyone is GAY happy ending ?
