In episode 005 it immediately picks up from where we left off on Zarlum, it continues from episode 3 after they got back from Yellowstone. Delilah gets the surgery she needs and starts learning how to be independent without walking learning to adapt to her new life. She managed to get into university having fun and learning while Tom and Oswin go back to Yellowstone they had a normal time there compared to the death, destruction, fire and hell in their last trip. While they were there, they dealt with a few bears, they even managed to get closer and closer to each other. The greatest and most insane thing they did was discovering the answers they had been looking for inside the site breaking inside and discovering a horrible truth they wished they hadn't found, discovering horrific experiments which also discovered them and almost got them killed.

It wasn't all fun and games though, they found that the whole forest began to experience something that had scare scientists for hundreds of years, it began to experience Zarlum-quakes and the massive lake had been boiled away to nothing from the heat forcing its way up through the ground giving a horrible warning of the horrors to come. They knew exactly what was about to happen, and somehow they had to escape, but the odds were not on their side, the forest service had abandoned them, and they were quickly running out of time. What happened didn't just effect Tom and Oswin it also effected Delilah's university. She like them had to escape the horror. Do they manage to escape? What happens? How will it effect the rest of the world in the future? Find out by reading further into episode 5.

This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? Is this fleeting shadow something that can help her or could this mysterious figure be even more dangerous than the zombies themselves? ---------------------- Ranked #1 Apr 10, 2018 (A huge thank you to all who read and voted!) Her family would tell her stories about how great of a father he was which makes Mona upset because she'll never get to experience that. Due to that and her family business...oh and hunting of course life hasn't been easy for the Harvelle's since they had to move a lot for work. They had told Mona that they're also hunters who hunt monsters, which little Mona didn't believe at first until she's seen a few monsters with her own eyes. Before they had settled in Nebraska working in their Roadhouse, they moved a lot when Mona was young, so when she attended school, she kinda became a target for bullies and nobody knew about it... She didn't want to worry her family due to the hunting they do so she simply lied and said she fell but after that she's been nothing but a klutz ever since, she falls over her own feet, trips over nothing, sometimes she'll break things and hurt herself so her family doesn't really take her seriously these days nor do they know why it upsets her so much... Now being 20 years old and not having to learn anything about hunting or protecting herself, let alone have friends or people to talk to, she's simply stuck in this state of depression where she can't get out of... But what happens when a group of hunters visit and she ends up having the most fun she's had in her entire life? What happens next? Does she fall in love? Does she learn to hunt? Will she lose her family and those she loves?

The Superspecies Two: A Haunting Sci-Fi Horror Mystery by GordonByron

A young girl is brutally abducted by a bloodthirsty grizzly, forcing a group of scientists to mop up a genetic engineering operation that is out of control, threatening any and all who enter the woods. One question remains: are the animals really dangerous for no reason at all or does their enhanced intelligence simply make them recognize something damning about human nature that needs to be understood before it's too late? Harmonious coexistence with an emerging highly-intelligent species competing for dominance over the earth or total destruction of humans and animals alike? Those are the two options now. Two groups of scientific researchers are sent to a forest where bear attacks are frequent in order to study what is happening only to find themselves attacked and outsmarted (in part) by the animals themselves. Two environmental action groups also find themselves at odds over the fate of the dangerously genetically-enhanced creatures. One group wants to see the beasts wiped out completely and the other wants to preserve them at all costs, even at the expense of human life. The two sides are locked in an impasse, unable to resolve their differences in an amiable way which leads to ever-increasing tension, animosity, kidnapping and murder. Entire forests are quarantined in an attempt to control and contain the beasts but soon holes are discovered in the operation as key players start disappearing in addition to animals eluding their hunters, fighting back and changing the field of battle to their own terms. Ambushing their pursuers on more than one occasion. As the "pro-beast" and "pro-human" sides chase to their own interests with the unfortunate bears caught in the middle (struggling to establish themselves in a human dominated world), the animals learn more and more to rely on their expanding awareness to survive and thrive in an entirely new world...to evolution shattering effect!

As Sky took the apple it started to sizzle. Sky dropped it startled and the girls looked at each other confused. "Okay what the fuck," Winnie asked. Sky just poked the apple again and it still heated up the fruit just not to the same extent as before. "Skyler, why is your skin burning fruit and mine isn't," Winnie asked in a hushed whisper. "How the fuck should I know," Skyler asked her friend. She was starting question if this was all just a weird dream. It had to be. Right? Winnie was now trying to poke the apple to see if it would react to her the same way before nudging it to her friend and watching it heat up a little before Skyler pulled her hand away. "Winnie," she scolded really starting to freak out. "What? It was for science purposes. Multiple trials," Winnie responded. "What the hell is happening to me," Sky asked worried. "Maybe you have super powers," Winnie proposed. "Maybe I'm dying from some weird chemical reaction," Skyler pointed out. "Always so negative. Try to look on the up side sometimes," Winnie teased. "What if I'm dying," Skyler asked worried. "It was nice knowing you," Winnie said jokingly. That wasn't what the girl needed to hear. "Look," Winnie interjected realizing she wasn't helping, "You aren't dying. We can google it and find out what's going on I'm sure there's a reason." Sky nodded quietly. She didn't know what else to do. Something was wrong with her. Something in her said it had to do with that beast they saw.
