Chris Perrin is a normal junior high school student in Gloucester, Virginia. He lives the standard high-school junior life, having just obtained his driver's license, working as a Ride Operator at Busch Gardens. After a chance meeting with his crush, Miette Flores, he is pulled into the past, slowly becoming a vampire in the modern times. Meanwhile, he starts to establish a friendship with Clara Winston, heiress of the vampire-hunting Winston Family, although he does not know of this for sure. As his relationships with Miette and Clara grow, he is caught in between, forced to decide his future in the face of increasing danger.
