City Ruins

The world had been thriving, doing much better than it should have. That scared many scientists so what did they do? They made a virus to kill everyone they needed dead, even if that meant everyone and everything. Most did not survive whatever this virus had done to the world. Many cities were broken down from not being tended to. Animals started disappearing. Most people travel to keep from being attacked. Some don't. The scientist who made the virus has long since disappeared. It's assumed they're all dead somewhere. Some think they're hiding to fit in. What you think is up to you. These "zombies'' tend to look human but something just seems wrong with them. Some have completely white eyes, some just have darker spots of skin. It depends on how long they've been infected. Most humans now always have weapons on them. The government disappeared leaving the whole world lawless. The shape of the land just seemed to change. Almost all forms of electricity just seemed to disappear, generators are all people have left to keep lights on. The Internet and wifi are gone, phones just seem to disappear. You'd be lucky just to find a camera or a computer that's still in working condition. Despite that, music is still very prominent. Radios still seem to work even if they are just on a constant loop of the same twenty songs. It's been years since this all began. It all started in 2025, it's been seventeen years and the world is still alive.
