Hayley Marshall found out she was pregnant two weeks before going to New Orleans. She quickly realized that Klaus Mikaelson was the father. And with that information, she aborted it. Something or Someone didn't want the baby to die, so they gave it to another.

Three weeks later, recently turned 18 year old, Genesis Lydia Benson. She left for a university in Sacramento, California. She was studying Criminology and Sociology. One week before school started, she gets kidnapped by a group of witches.
