OPEN NOVELLA CONTEST 2023 ENTRY I was staring out of the hospital window. The painkillers didn't work anymore, and I could tell my time was almost off. The coin in my hand got wet from the sweat because I was a nervous wreck. What should I do? What choice should I make? The one that will hurt everyone, including me, but it's probably destiny or the one that will solve this life/death situation for good. Should I just let it all disappear? My life wasn't easy, but it was mine, and I didn't want any other one. But... do I want to die? Do I want to hurt the people who love me the most? Do I want to break my first love's heart? Of course, I don't. But I also don't want to be the one who decides this. It's too hard, and I don't have time. This might be the hardest thing that anyone had ever done. So... what is it going to be? Die like me? Or live like somebody else? Open Novella Contest 2023 prompt 57 and 5.

I have decided to force myself to write every day. I've tried to start a novel countless times, so I have reached the conclusion that it's better to write short stories. I was looking for Short Story challenges to make it exiting, and I found one that I liked; writing one micro fiction story each day, it doesn't matter how many words it has or what it is about, but, I have to finish one every day. I decided this was the best moment to start, it being march of 2020, and me being in quarantine with nothing to do. This is why this book exists, each day I will write a piece of micro-fiction and post it in this book. I believe that I will get better through time if I follow this challenge. Some day I may decide to stop it, though hopefully it will be in a long time. (by the way, it's not complete but I marked it like that because the chapters don't compliment one-another, so each story is basically done by the time I publish it) -Lilly Rose
