In a world of deceit and and love a young girl has to face the brutal reality of her life and find a way to live. This story follows Maia as she navigates heartbreak and mental illness.
~Excerpt~
Laying on her back, staring at the endless sea above her, she felt minuscule. All of the emotions running through her made her feel explosive to the point of nothingness.
It was such a strange feeling, to feel so much yet nothing at all. So strange in fact, that most times she thought she was losing her sanity. Maia often felt like her sanity was dangling by a thread. As if at any moment it would snap and she would start screaming and never stop.
The thought brought back a memory. Of storming green eyes. Almost emerald. Her tether to the ground and the reason she was losing herself.
A young man. Just the age of twenty. Beautiful in the way that a Greek statue was beautiful. Not conventionally but artistically.
Now just a memory. A whisper of what might've been. Could've been.

Growing up we tend to become mature with scars on our heart that changes an innocent loving child into an arrogant, suspicious and emotionless character. In order not to get hurt we tend to conceal our heart with an ironclad barrier. But what if we have to learn everything again. She is able to form new memories, so she starts learning again in order to become normal. Thankful to her amnesia she is now more cheerful, more open to people and more lively than she had ever been. She is clueless about what mental trauma she had been through all her life prior to the accident, but in her sleep subconsciously she always had nightmares of her past. In this new journey, she has support of a doctor who actually hit her with his car and made her suffer with amnesia, PTSD, anger issues, nightmares, and many more... With time they come close and as if destined they fall in love with each other. This story tells about the journey of a girl who starts learning from zero and rises to become a star loved by everyone because she applies what she had been taught throughout her learning process. When you're forced to mask Reality with Fantasy. The lifted layers finally unveil the tombstone of self. The biggest cities into the tiniest pebbles The massive ideas and thoughts formed into merely something to fear. A protagonist who already forgot his name Remembers He is a Daydreamer. Which is the only way to cope with life after multiple tragedies. And the fraud on fake friends faces. Only to daydream. As losing touch takes a toll on that rotting indulgence slowly. This get's quite horrific as it goes on. It's not to enjoy but to reflect on and experience. I decided to publish the draft version, because I don't think I can fully finish YWAADD final edition any time soon. I am in the worst mental and emotional state ever. It's quite a struggle and I suffer heavily. So yeah, the polished draft kind of holds up aswell too. The final one is way longer and eventful. So, um yeah I don't expect this to get attention at all, it's kind of really mid in some parts. But enjoy, or don't I guess. Yes this was inspired by Everywhere At The End Of Time. REMINISCENT
I frowned, thrown off "Do i...remember?" "Do you remember..." she starts but her voice falters. She glances down at the sand, biting her lip debating whether to even continue. She then takes a shaky breath and finally looks up. Eyes locking with mine " do you even remember how you got it?" Her question hits me like a slap. I open my mouth, then close it, my brows furrowing as I force my brain to rewind. How did I get it? Nothing. Not a single clear memory. She steps closer, her voice trembling, but the edge of anger sharpening her words. "Or when? Or where? Or for what reason? Or what it even means?!" I flinch at her tone, but I can't answer her. I try. God, I try.. I look down at the sand beneath my feet, forcing myself to dig through every memory, every hazy night out, every stupid decision I might've made-but nothing. Not a single moment of how I got it surfaced. I let out a frustrated breath and rake a hand through my hair, feeling the panic rise like bile in my throat. When I finally lift my head to speak, Ashley's already staring at me, and I can tell-she knows my answer before I say a word.
