Emma Barns is the daughter of a famous author and a well known lord. She prefers the comfort of home, sitting on a couch enjoying the books her mother and uncle have written, but when she meets the ever so joyful, Xander Brooke, her thoughts never seem to leave him. When she invites him and his friend, Mr. Wood, over for tea, they soon acknowledge an ongoing mystery no one has seemed to solve. The mystery of the cursed queen's crown. They then start planning to embark on a dangerous quest. Will Emma be able to keep her secret, or will she follow pursuit, endangering anyone and everyone she has ever known?
Kayson Wood constantly follows around his best friend, Xander Brooke, watching him be rejected over and over by any woman they had ever crossed paths with. But when face-to-face with the elusive Miss Emma Barns, Xander seems to have actually found someone who returns his love. Kayson watches as their relationship escalates and can't help feeling like he's missing a piece of his own heart. When Emma invites him and Xander over for tea, Xander wishes to embark on a mysterious quest with barely any information on what they were after, the cursed queen's crown. Can Kayson find a way to keep his friend and Miss Emma out of danger while staying out of their growing relationship? Or will he find out his missing piece has been with them all along?
