In the not so distant future, the earth is taken over by alien lifeforms called the 'Ixus.' They use the male bodies as their host and the female bodies for the reproduction of the half-human, half-alien creatures called Halflings.
Dirk is the leader of the rebel humans who seeks revenge for his first love, Vera, who was taken by the Ixus 17 years ago. In the present, they meet a Halfling who is Vera's daughter. She is different from the other Halflings. She's more human than alien. Dirk is left with the strange feeling of hate and love for her.
