Mystery
Life's normal for these two teens, Scarlet and Jade. They go out to parties and hook up with boys, all while getting good grades and being good daughters. You wouldn't expect these two to be friends. Looking at Scarlet, she's everything you see in a golden child, with her wide, blue, innocent eyes and her pink skirts. On the other end of the scale, Jade, who skips school to meet her bad boy boyfriend and who wears all-black everything. Scarlet and Jade are like Yin 'n' Yang. Friends since 6th grade, they've been through a lot together, but nothing will prepare them for when someone new visits the town of Raven Brooke and takes special notice of them. They never realized how much of their life they value until it flashes before them. Because that's how it always is, you never realize what you have until it's gone.

Hope Flynn used to love water. She never realized the power of water, or the strength of it until the accident. Now Hope knows just how dangerous water can be. Water is the reason her sister is dead, and the reason she almost died. Hope can't remember what happened the night of the tragedy, but everyone assures her she couldn't have done anything to save her sister. Juliet Price has attended Redwood High since the beginning of sophomore year, but she's never spoken to Hope, Juliet doesn't fit in with her classmates as she wasn't born rich and she didn't grow up getting everything she wanted. The only reason Juliet is at the exclusive private school is because she's living with her wealthy aunt and uncle. Juliet knows what happened to Eleanor Flynn, most of the world does. The Flynn family are very wealthy and very famous. Even though Juliet and Hope have never spoken, Juliet can tell that Hope is acting weird and she doesn't think it's entirely because Eleanor is dead. When Juliet and Hope are brought together through a class project, Juliet starts to realize that Hope won't be able to start moving on unless she finds out what happened the night her sister died, and why she can't remember it. When the two start investigating, they realize that the truth is pointing to something dark. Almost everyone attending Redwood has secrets, and they'll do what it takes to keep them private. When the truth starts to come out, Hope is left to wonder if she remembers the dreadful night and finds out she had something to do with it, will she ever forgive herself?
