This is the backstory about Kyle Torch, Felix Ebrohg, and Oliver Langstop, hence being called Three's Company. Throughout this journey you'll learn a lot more about the 3 mysterious men of the Regen world. It will incorporate some familiar faces, including the madman with the box and hopefully you'll read about the Horan family once in awhile. You'll also be introduced to new characters whom I wanted to address in books one and two but never got the chance to. You will definitely learn about the back-story as to why Oliver is evil later on. If you haven't read book one or two yet, I would not recommend reading this, because you'll probably be confused.
